Overview
Paste CSV data and see it rendered as an actual table - rows and columns lined up and readable - rather than a wall of comma-separated text. The parser handles quoted fields containing commas and doubled-quote escapes ("") correctly, so real-world exports from Excel, Google Sheets, or a database dump display accurately rather than breaking on the first field that happens to contain a comma. If a row has a different number of fields than the header, that's flagged rather than silently misaligning columns. Runs entirely client-side, so nothing you paste is ever uploaded.
Best for: Quickly reading a CSV export without opening a spreadsheet program
How to use this tool
- Paste your CSV. An export from Excel, Google Sheets, or any comma-separated data.
- Quoted fields are handled correctly. Commas and escaped quotes inside a quoted field don't break the column alignment.
- See it as a table. Rows and columns render instantly, with uneven row lengths flagged rather than hidden.
Frequently asked questions
Yes - the parser tracks whether it's inside a quoted field and only treats a comma as a column separator when it's outside quotes, so a field like "Smith, John" stays as one column rather than splitting into two.
The table still renders, but the status line flags that row lengths are inconsistent, so you know to check the source data rather than silently seeing misaligned columns.
This tool is read-only by design - it's for quickly checking what a CSV file contains, not for editing it. For converting CSV to another format, see the CSV ⇄ JSON Converter or CSV to TSV Converter.
