Overview
Generate an organic-looking closed SVG blob shape - the kind of soft, irregular background shape common in modern web design - by placing a set of points evenly around a circle, perturbing each one's radius by a random amount, and connecting them with a smooth curve so the result reads as an organic outline rather than a jagged polygon. Controls include the number of points (more points means finer, more complex wobble), an irregularity amount (how far each point can deviate from a perfect circle), overall size, and fill color. Randomness is driven by a small seeded pseudo-random generator (not the browser's unseeded Math.random), so the exact same seed and settings always reproduce the identical shape - reroll for a fresh random seed, or note a seed down to recreate a shape later. Output includes a live preview, the raw SVG markup shown as plain text for you to copy, and a one-click SVG download. Runs entirely client-side.
Best for: Generating a soft, organic background shape for a hero section or card design
How to use this tool
- Set point count and irregularity. More points add finer detail; a higher irregularity makes the wobble more pronounced.
- Pick a size and fill color. The preview and downloaded SVG both update instantly.
- Reroll or keep the seed. Reroll for a fresh random shape, or keep the current seed to reproduce this exact one later.
- Copy the markup or download the SVG. The raw SVG markup is shown as plain text, ready to paste into your own code.
Why use this tool
Deterministic with a seed
The same seed and settings always produce the identical path, driven by a small seeded PRNG rather than unseeded randomness.
Always a closed, organic path
Points are connected with a smooth closed curve, never a jagged polygon or an open shape.
Plain SVG, no dependency
Pure hand-rolled SVG path generation - no new charting or shape library added to the project.
Markup shown as text, never re-injected raw
The SVG markup is displayed in a read-only textarea, not rendered via dangerouslySetInnerHTML from user input.
Frequently asked questions
Yes - the shape is generated using a small seeded pseudo-random number generator, so the same seed combined with the same point count, irregularity, and size always produces an identical path. Only the fill color and displayed size can be changed afterward without altering the underlying shape.
The markup shown is read-only in this tool, but it's plain, valid SVG you can copy and paste into your own code or design tool and edit freely there.
Yes - any text value (like the fill color) is escaped before being inserted into the SVG attribute, so it can't break out of the markup structure.
